SNA and AMISOM due to launch second phase of offensive military in Bay region

The administration of Qansaxdhere in Bay region stated that they are prepared to launch the second phase of offensive military against Al-shabab in all Bay regions.

The district commissioner of Qansaxdhere adan Abdiqani told Goobjoog FM that government forces and African Union peace-keeping troops are ready to carry out heavy security operations against to restore the areas under Al-shabab.

He added that the joint forces in the areas under federal government’s administration are alert to prevent the planned attacks and assassinations of Al-shabab.

Al-shabab controls some areas in Bay region including Diinsor district as their stronghold in the region.
