Somali cabinet approves political parties’ law

Somali Federal government in its weekly cabinet meeting approved the political parties’ law.

The approval requires the cabinet to table the law before the federal legislature for passage

Ali Mohmmad Mohmoud (Ali) the general secretary of Somali National Forum party applauded the move “It’s much needed step, all political parties in the country welcome this step”

The law will go before the federal parliament where after three readings law makers will vote for.

Political parties filed law suit against Interior minister and prime minister for what they said blocking to approve the political parties law.
