Somali Cabinet of Ministers Approves the Budget for 2017

Somali Cabinet of Ministers of the Federal Government today met on their normal weekly meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre where they discussed several issues among them approval of  the budget for the year 2017, Somalia stand on the diplomatic crisis in the Middle East and Somali youths detained in abroad.

Initially the Cabinet Minister vigorously debated the financial closure of the previous budget and the approval of budget for the 2017 though finally they unanimously agreed upon the passing of the $246 million which is somehow less than the focused expenses and the balance will be filled by the government in due course.

The hot debate also touch on the stand of the federal government took on the diplomatic crisis in the Middle east between Saudi Arabia and its Gulf States allies against Qatar.

It is officially known Somalia has taken a neutral stand and is among the countries that are engaged to bring the two disputing parties to the negotiating table.

Finally the Cabinet Ministers showed their dismay on the prevailing conditions of the Somali refugees in Yemen and the detainees in Libya whose aim is to migrate illegally to Western countries and how to extend a helping hand to rescue or support them.

Similarly the law markers welcomed the implementation of the bilateral agreement with India on the transfer and exchange of prisoners between the two countries.
