Somali MP: Kay’s remarks is total defamation to federal parliament

The former constitution minister of transitional federal government of Somalia and a serving member of federal government Abdirahman Hosh Jibril speaking during a press conference said Nicholas Kay’s remarks is total defamation to the federal parliament.

Nicholas Kay recently expressing worry over the political infighting between the top leaders of Somalia said he is concerned about claims that some members of federal government are being asked to exchange votes for cash in the context of a potential ‘No Confidence’ motion a move which sparked anger.

In his statement Kay also urged the federal parliament to stop the motion against the Prime minister of Somalia Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed.

The MP said the federal parliament of Somalia is free from the mistaken allegations from SRSG for Somalia Nicholas Kay.

A number of Somali MPs who held press conference in Mogadishu on Tuesday called Nicholas to give apology over his wrong allegations against federal parliament and condemned him of seeking advice from people with self interst whose aim it to circulate and propagate cheap propangada.
