Somali army regain control of Torotorow

The 16th Brigade of the Somalia National Army Monday regained control of Toratorow in Lower Shabelle region which has been Al-Shabaab revenue headquarters.

The forces launched an offensive Monday morning and successfully ejected the militants from the area.

Commander of the 16th Battalion of the military General Ismail Abdulkadir told the media during the operation that the Armed Forces arrested 10 Al-Shabab fighters among them the Lower Shabelle Regional Court judge, Malim Abukar who is currently in the hands of the Somali National Army.

The commander added that Torotorow was a strategic center for trial and extortion money from the Somali people by Al-Shabaab for many   years.
