Somali National Consultative Forum in Kismayo has collapsed as the leaders disagreed on suitable option of 2016 electoral.

The talks broke down after the sides disagreed how to select upper house members though the leaders were reported agreed upon lower house to be based on 4.5 quota.

The conference which brought together the country’s leadership and IGAD is reported failed as its fate has split politicians into two groups.

Puntland and Jubaland states insisted on constituencies while Galmudug and Southwest opted 4.5 clan power sharing system.
