Somali parliament speaker extends condolences on the death of Somali lawmaker

 

 

The speaker of Somali federal parliament Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari, extends condolences on the death of Yussuf Dirir Abdi a Somali parliamentarian who succumbed to his injuries.
“I was saddened to hear of the passing of Yussuf Dirir, and extend my sympathies to his friends, family, the Federal MPs and all Somali people,” he said.
He added “The diseased was flag-waver who served his country, his target was to see peaceful and united Somali country which recovered the destruction caused by the civil war, he was energetic parliamentarian”
The late Yussuf Mohamed Dirir and Abdalla Boos Ahmaed were attacked by armed men in a drive by shooting incident in Mogadishu on Saturday where MP Boos escaped unharmed from assassination attempt.
This comes hours after two people among them one government worker were gunned down in Wadajir district.
No group has claimed the responsibility of the attacked.
