Somali PM due to appear before the parliament on Saturday

The federal parliament of Somalia will have its normal meeting in Mogadishu on Saturday, today the newly announced cabinet was to seek vote of confidence from the federal parliament but PM Abdirashid dismissed his cabinet in response to complaints from Mps and civil society.

PM Abdirashid is expected to appear before the parliament on Saturday to shed light on the reasons behind the dismissal of his cabinet and exact time he will appoint his new cabinet.

Earlier on Friday night Somali prime Minister Omar Abdirashid sent a statement to the federal parliament and asked the top leaders of the parliament to be given 14 days to be able appoint new cabinet.
