Somali PM Khaire Sacks 3 Federal Ministers, Replaces With 3 Others

Somali prime minister Hassan Ali Khaire today sacked 3 federal ministers and replaced them with 3 others.

The 3 ministers sacked held the ministerial dockets of foreign affairs, interior and trade.

Foreign minister Yusuf Garaad Omar is replaced by Ahmed Isse Awad, currently Somali ambassador to the US.

Interior minister and federalism Abdi Farah Juha is also substituted by Abdi Mohamed Sabriye, a telecom businessman.

Trade and industry minister Khadra Ahmed Duale is replaced by Mohamed Abdi Mareye, an MP.

The official announcement was made by Abdirahman Oamr Osman, the federal minister of information and culture through SNTV, the national media of the governmental.

The sackings are implemented with an immediate effect.
