Somali police conducts security operation in Afgooye

Somali police force has launched a dawn operation in Afgooye, 30 kilometres outside Somali capital city, Mogadishu.

The operation which was to hunt down suspects reportedly to have been behind the escalating security situation Afgooye town, residents have said.

The soldiers were making direct door-to-door operations intended flush out the suspects after tip off from members of the public.

A local resident who spoke to Goobjoog News stated the manhunt had been underway till at dawn.

“Soldiers searched almost every house in this area though I don’t how people they arrested but they seemed to have been looking for individuals who had been identified by members of the public,” he said.
