Somali president says formation of constitutional court is necessary

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has stressed the need to form a constitutional court in Somalia.

In his lengthy speech to MPs, Mohamud urged MPs to speed up the endorsement of laws necessary for the formation of the judicial service commission and other necessary bodies.

Meanwhile the president Hassan has called on lawmakers and other government officials not to release arrested Al-shabab members from prisons.

“Security of the country will not be handled if officials don’t stop defending and releasing the jailed Al-Shabab elements. Let the security agencies do their job,” said president Mohamud.

, Somali President touched on deadly attack on beachfront restaurants and mid-air Daallo airlines blast.

“The latest incident that left mothers, children and other unarmed figures dead was carried out by terrorists. They are hoodlums who dare kill people and they must be contained,” he went on of Somali militant group.
