Somali women leader shot dead in Galkio

Somali women leader and activist killed in Galkio by assailants armed with hand guns.

Dhudi Yusuf Adan headed Mudug Women Association and campaigned for women’s political participation in Puntland state.

Two men armed with pistols shot her several times on the head and the chest while setting in front of her house in Galkio.

Puntland state security forces quickly started searches but did not mange to arrest anyone suspect for the murder.

Deputy Mudug Governor Ahmed Musse Nura Yare extended his condolences to family of killed women and said Galkio never forgets her social contributions.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack but because of her anti-Alshabab speeches many suspect Alshabab for the assassination.
