Somalia: 6th High Level Partnership Forum to kick-off in Turkey Tomorrow

Somali and foreign delegates are converging in Istanbul, Turkey where a two-day high Level Partnership Forum on Somalia reconstruction process will kick off on Tuesday.

Somali delegates including politicians, businessmen, youth and other civil society members are expected to discuss on wide range issues including the upcoming elections which are to held later this year.

The Forum which is scheduled to gather participants from 51 countries and international and regional organizations will be co-chaired by Turkish President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Somali President Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud and Deputy UN Secretary-General Mr. Jan  Eliassoin.

The conference is set to review the deal compact achievement for last three years and establish the process and principles that will guide identification of the post-2016 aid architecture.

Turkey-Somalia entrepreneurs Forum and The Empowerment of Women and Youth conference are  expected to run parallel  to the Conference as to  focuses on investment and youth affairs respectively.
