Somalia and Sudan are two sibling states with common interests-PM

Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre met with President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir of Sudan in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The two leaders discussed of the extensive in depth ties between the two fraternal societies and how they can develop cooperation on many sectors.

Somali MP talked about the long period the Somali people were in civil strife and currently being on the road to recovery; initiating collective cooperation within the immediate regional African states and the rest of the world.

In addition, he pointed out that Sudan was among the countries that supported Somalia for a long time and how his country is now ready to strengthen the cooperation further.

“Somalia and Sudan are two fraternal countries who a lot in common; our cooperation is deep entrenched and always excellent. Sudan supported us on education, economy, training of the police and security and is now ready to do so once again” said Somali MP Kherye.

On the other side, the President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir of Sudan pledged to build up the relationship of the two countries. He also extended an invitation to the President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo to his country in order to fortify their cooperation.
