Somalia: Cabinet pass new draft media law

Somali cabinet has today passed the new draft media law after they debated on their normal weekly meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Somali prime minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed.

The approved media law will be submitted to federal parliament of Somalia for approval after the fifth parliamentary session open. information minister Mustaf Duhulow said he submitted the bill to the cabinet after consulting Somali journalists and directors.

On Thursday the cabinet has postponed the media law for further discussions and approved national education bill.
