Somalia: government makes pledge to the Somali refugees in Kenya

The Federal government of Somalia announced that it will relocate and create employment opportunities for the Somali refugees coming back from Kenya voluntarily.

The minister for Youth and Sports of the Federal government Dr. Khalid Omar Ali told Goob Joog FM that the  government is putting more efforts to assist and welcome the Somali people in the Kenyan refugee camps when coming back home.

He stated that his ministry will take a lion’s share to create an environment for the returnees to have the capacity to manage their lives.

He emphasized that the Somali government will pay heavy price to create opportunities for the refugees who are determined to come back voluntarily to Somalia especially giving rehabilitation and creation of jobs.

His remarks comes a day after Somali prime minister Abdiweli Sheik Ahmed paid visit to world’s largest refugee Camp in Kenya, as he pledged assistance to the Somali refugees who lived Kenya more than two decades shortly after the conclusion of ministerial meeting on refugees in Addis Ababa.
