Somalia national examination kicks off amid COVID 19

The federal government of Somalia has set up the national examination of 2020 in the whole country after three months of lockdown.

The ministry of education of the federal government has suspended education on March following coronavirus pandemic risk.

The minister of education, Abdullahi Godah Bare has announced the examination protocol, timetable, the total number of students and the measures to protect the student from spreading COVID 19 in the examination rooms.

Somalia’s education has laid many obstacles including lack of teachers, insecurity and curriculum since the late government ruled by Siyad Bare’s regime collapsed in 1991.

Despite that all challenges, it has made progress for the last 5 years as the number of students who join schools grammatically increased 75 thousand to 80 thousand yearly.
