Somalia parliament speaker Mursal met local elders in Baidoa town yesterday

Somali Parliament speaker, Mohamed Mursal arrived yesterday in Baidoa town and met elders and clan leaders in Baidoa.

Local elders held a meeting with the speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Mohamed Mursal Sheikh Abdirahman, demanding the freedom of Sheikh Mukhtar Robow Ali Abu Mansoor who still remains under the custody of the federal government of Somalia.

The elders have also asked the federal government of Somalia to pay compensation for the lives lost during the election protests in Baidoa town.

Speaker Mursal, speaking to the local elders said that President Farmajo and Prime Minister Kheire agreed to release Mukhtar Robow soon.

He also pointed out that he and the Southwest state President Abdiaziz Laftagareen will go to Mogadishu together and assure Mukhtar Robow will be released.

The Southwest state president Abdiaziz Laftgareen has also affirmed to toil the relief of Mukhtar Robow following a meeting with the SWS local elders for the first times since the election a month ago.
