Somalia pens MOU security with UK government

Somali government has penned a bilateral MOU with the UK on security matters, Defence minister said.

Defence minister Abdikadir Sheikh Ali Dini and UK ambassador to Somalia Harriet Mathews inked the agreement in Mogadishu on Sunday.

“This agreement will enable Somalia to enhance its security machineries. It will also help the two countries to help each other in fighting terrorism in Somalia and the rest of the world” said Diini.

He further applauded UK government for its assistance to Somalia not only in matters security but also in all sectors of the economy.

Ambassador Mathews on her part said that her country will continue supporting Somalia till it bounces back on its feet.
