Somalia President in Addis Ababa To Attend AU Summit

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud leave for Addis Ababa Ethiopia on Wednesday to attend 24th African Union (AU) Summit.

Foreign Affairs Ministers in Africa have been meeting at the AU headquarters in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa in preparation for heads of states summit.

The summit was originally scheduled to discuss women empowerment and development but now Boko Haram tops the agenda as African countries is discussing proposals to send troops to Negeriia and Cameroon where is been ravaged by Boko Haramattacks.

On the sidelines of the summit, President Hassan will hold meetings with African heads of states.

African Union is becoming more relevant in stabilizing the continent where terror attacks, military coups and armed insurgencies are still rife. There is a proposal to form AU standby troops to intervene any insecurity in the continent.
