Storyline:National News

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU:   In a continuing barrage of decrees, President Mohamed Farmaajo’s government has ordered all Somali diplomatic staff and their families in Kenya to return home in five days in a growing sense of uncertainty over what other drastic measures the outgoing administration intends to take.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wednesday instructed the remaining staff to return home days after it severed ties with Kenya and closed its embassy. The directive adds to several others within a month which have seen a series of diplomatic gaffes including 2 am pronouncements.

Goobjoog News has learnt that Nairobi has written to Mogadishu seeking clarification on the matters after it emerged that no official statement on the severance of ties and other measures reached Nairobi.

Kenya has however chosen not to respond to the recent pronouncements but said it will appoint a team to work on normalizing relations.
