Somalia’s political deadlock will have an impact on the nation’s leadership

Former Somali constitution minister, Abdirahman Hoosh Jabriil has said Somalia’s political stalemate will have an impact on the country’s future leadership ahead of nation’s election which expected take place later this year.

He pointed out that the Somalia deadlock has been dragging for a long time and the outcome of National Consultative Forum will not be a solution for Somalia’s problems.

The move comes barely two days after NCF bore some sort of agreement over the two houses after Separate meetings took place among Somali political leaders and foreign diplomats to break the political deadlock over model for electoral transition by 2016.

Meanwhile Puntland has announced that it will not accept the decision of the Federal Government regarding the elections process.

“On behalf of the government of Puntland, I want declare here that we will not accept that decision and is contradicting the opinion of the people of Puntland,” Said President Abdiweli.
