Somaliland president Speaks out President Farmajo’s trip to Hargeisa

Somaliland President, Muse Bihi Abdi addressed the two Houses of Somaliland Parliament on Tuesday at the annual Constitutional Conference on various issues, including President Farmajo visit to Somaliland since elected as a president of Somalia.

President Muse Bihi stated that he welcomed the meeting organized by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held in Addis Ababa with Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on 11th February 2020.

“Ethiopia Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed requested us to mediate him between Somalia and Somaliland issues, after a long discussion, finally we agreed on the talks but President Farmajo’s previous apology have interrupted his trip to Hargeisa,” said Somaliland president.

Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi has publicly stated that he welcomes President Farmajo’s recent apologies over premature revolutionary government attack using the government’s name to the people of Northern Territory.

Meanwhile, Muse Bihi Abdi said the talks between Somalia and Somaliland would be attending Djibouti President, Ismail Omar Guelleh and Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other African leaders.
