South West president Sharif Sheikh Hassan visits Bardale district of Bay region

President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and a number of top state officials are on visit to Bardale district of Bay region where they scheduled to have meeting with AMISOM troops command as well as Somali National army.

The state’s president aims to meet elders and clan chiefs of the district to seek their advice of State’s Parliament member’s selection process.
He and his entourage got the district through air- a sign that shows how state’s security is undone and how Alshabab still remains strong security threat to south-west state.

Political analysts says that this time president Sharif Sheikh Hassan tries to win clan elders support, to make sure his followers will dominate upcoming State’s Parliament.

Sharif Sheikh Hassan is known for his cunning political calculations and has managed to dominate the country’s political scene for the last ten years.
