Southwest state President arrives in Wajid district

The president of the southwestern state of Somalia, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Lafayreen and his delegation have arrived Wajid district in Bakool region.

A plane carrying President Laftagaren and his delegation landed at Wajid airport this morning welcomed by South West Ministers and District Administration with a large crowd of people.

On the other side, the security of the city has been tightened with Special Forces patrolling the streets since last night.

The delegation led by the Minister of Justice of the South West state met yesterday evening and held various meetings with the Wajid community.

The purpose of President Abdiaziz Laftagaren’s visit to Wajid District was to assess and reform the district administration likewise meeting with the various communities leaving in the district.

It is the first trip of the Laftagaren to Wajid since he has been elected as the President of the Southwestern State of Somalia.
