State Formation Process for Hiran and Middle Shabelle to Start After Ramadan

Plans to form what could be the last federal unit for Somalia is due to start in three weeks time according to authorities.

The General Secretary of Hiran region Salad Hassan Abdi speaking to Goobjoog News told their plans to kickoff the process of State building after holy month of Ramadan “We are preparing to start Hiran and Middle Shebelle State conference ….. And now we are busy to settle things for the conference” he said

He also called people of the two regions to get ready for the conference and that everyone is welcomed to the city of Bladwene.

Building blocks of federalism are one of three priorities for Somali Federal Government before 2016 elections approaches.

Just last week Somalia has successfully formed Galmudug state for the central regions, a huge step taken towards federalization of the country.
