Storyline:National News

Cases related to the activities of Al-shabab are on the decline in Puntland for last the last few months, the military court has announced.

Speaking at the judicial consultative forum being held in Garowe, head of the Military court Said Adan Ebyan attributed the success to increased efforts by the government of Puntland to contain the menace as well as improved judicial mechanisms in the country.

“There were no Al-shabaab related cases brought before the courts in the past few months. This shows the militants are being defeated. Those who were arrested before and produced before the courts received justice and fair trial” he said.

Puntland has seen improved judicial systems and process following the President pledge to deliver the same when he was seeking election to the high office.
