Traditional Elder Slain in Afgoye

The famous elder was killed last night in Afgoye by unidentified assailants who struck him after the evening prayer. The elder was identified as Ali Aboubakar Aka Ali Gaab and was popular among the residents there.

Somali security forces arrived the scene of murder but couldn’t manage to make arrests.

Afgoye , an agricultural town is some 30 kilometers to west Mogadishu and has become one of the deadliest after becoming an easy target for Alshabab since the inception of Ramadan month.

Traditional elders are particularly soft target in the country; he would become the 11^th elder killed during the Ramadan throughout the country.
