Two Al-Shabaab Suspects Arrested In Baidoa-Somalia

Police in the southern Somali town of Baidoa have today arrested two men who were allegedly suspected to have a link with al-Shabaab.

The men were arrested following on assassination they have carried in Mogadishu and come to baidoa for safety.

The men, who arrived in Baidoa on Tuesday, said they had received phone calls threats earlier this week, but last night they accidently met the man with the phone call threats in the market and they immediately tried to escape but was caught up by the people in the market and was forwarded to the police to be arrested.

Police officials in Baidoa said “the men were not having any weapon but further investigations will be conducted on the different cases they were accused.

The security of Baidoa has been tightened the last days after the national Security Council meeting was held on last week and in the holy month of Ramadan to restore peace for the people of south west region.
