Two journalists two died in Mogadishu in less than 24 hours

A Somali journalist has died in Mogadishu on Thursday night, after long illness, his family said.

Mahad Mohamud Noor, died at City Hospital where he had been treatment for days.

He was popular for his producing 2016 Vision program as confirmed by director of,Radio Shabelle Abukar Sheikh Mohamud.

This comes less than 12 hours after another Hinda Haji who was working with Radio Mogadishu, succumbed to injuries following car explosion on her way to home after studies at a local university.

Abdirahman Isse Adow, Director of Radio Mogadishu, confirmed that the journalist succumbed to injuries after she was rushed to Madina Hospital.

Mariam Ahmed, a female student who was travelling in the same car with the journalist, survived the attack.

“I am very surprised at the incident. I heard huge explosion, and blood splattered in the car. I got out from the car only to see Hinda bleeding profusely,” Mario said.
