Two perish and five injured in grisly accident along Burao-Hargeisa road

Two people died and five others hospitalized on Saturday night in a grisly accident on the Buroa-Hargeisa Road, medics and police said.

Eyewitnesses said the speeding car was ferrying seven passengers mostly university students overturned when the driver failed to negotiate a corner.

Buroa Police commandant urged motorists to exercise care while plying the route.

“We urge drivers to exercise caution and take the responsibility of the passenger as per required,” he said.

Among those who sustain injuries is driver of the car. The hospital administrator Arabay saying two dead while the rest are attending treatment.
“People took the two bodies and rushed the five injured passengers to Buroa hospital where we admitted five,” he said.

The doctor said two of the passengers were admitted at hospital have multiple fractures.
