Two police officers killed in bomb attack near police academy

Two police officers have been killed and three others injured in a bomb attack that hit a restaurant near the police academy in Mogadishu.

Sources said a suicide bomber blew up at a busy restaurant during the lunch hour break causing casualties. Police spokesman confirmed the incident in a Facebook post but did not give details.

“An explosion has taken place in Hamar Jajab, near the Scuola Polizia, at a crowded restaurant. We will keep you informed of any development,” the post said.
