It was on Monday when Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies severed diplomatic and economic ties with Qatar over terrorism allegations and depicting soft stance with Iran, the arch-rival of Middle East Arab countries. It is allegations that Qatar denied and views this harsh embargo as infringement to their sovereignty to rule itself.

When the sanctions started Qatari residents were worried but the government was working with new suppliers to ensure that food and other items were available.
