UN welcomes Federal Member State scheduled meeting in Dhusamareb,Galmudug .

The United Nation welcomes planned Federal Member States (FMS) leaders meeting in Galmudug headquarters Dhusamareb.

The meeting will be discussed and focused on pushing national priorities, including elections, security and review of the Constitution to go forward to restoring the country.

The UN envoy, James Swan calls Somali political parties and political stakeholders to negotiate the deference’s and agree on a peaceful election for 2021.

James Swan noted civil society views on Somali elections and related topics at the meetings this week that remains inclusive consultations and National Independent Election Commission options on how to supplement electoral law.

The opposition political parties led by the former president, Sharif Sheikh Ahmed accused the NIEC chairperson and the ruling party leader for their upcoming election extension plan last week.
