Unidentified gunmen kill radio owner in Mogadishu

A radio owner has been shot dead in Mogadishu by unidentified gunmen.

Mohamed Omar Hagafay who was the owner Voice of Central regions (VCR) radio was shot dead near Erdogan Hospital in Hodan District. Hagafay was the spokesman of the defunct Himan and Heeb administration in central Somalia.

According to witnesses not willing to be named, two young men approached the man and shot him several times.

A local resident in the district said that the gunmen escaped from the area immediately after they killed the man.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the latest murder.

The administration of Hodan district has not yet commented about the incident.
