Unknown warplanes hit Al-Shabaab camp in Gedo

Unidentified warplanes targeted an Al-Shabaab training camp on Monday night in Gedo region, southwest of Somalia.

The terror group Al-Shabaab has used the training camp to train operatives.

The residents also reported hearing the sound of explosions.

There were no immediate reports of civilian casualties as a result of the aerial bombardment.

“We heard sounds of the jets and then bombs. We understood later that they were targeting an Al-Shabaab base in El-Ade village in Gedo region,” A local resident said.

There had been several bombardments on the group’s training camp in sevrel regions in Somalia.
