Update: Big explosion heard in Sinka Dheer in Lower Shabelle

Loud bomb explosion is heard in Sinka Dheer location lying in the outskirt of Mogadishu some minutes before 7pm.

The exploded device was ferried on a 5 ton car disguised inside several bags of charcoal targeting a security check point in the area in Lower Shabelle region.

There is a security check point in Sinka Dheer where vehicles coming into the city from Lower Shabelle are thoroughly checked for security reasons.

Casualties are reported which caused death and injuries in the vicinity of the incident including civilians since the route is a crucial feeding road for both goods and commuters.

No official report released so far by the Federal security officials and other related organs regarding the fatal incident.
