200 Families receive Iftar food package in Bondeere District

Bondeere Administration in Banadir region got a response to their earlier appeal on behalf of the needy people residing in its jurisdiction.

The plea was directed at humanitarian organizations working on emergency service to provide assistance to these poor people.

The Commissioner of Bondeere Seynab Yusuf Wehliye said their appeal has been answered and received a food package meant for breaking the fast from the UAE Red Crescent covering 200 socially disadvantaged families.

“Today 200 readymade food package for breaking the fast was brought to us here by UAE Red Crescent and we have distributed to the neediest families in the location” said Commissioner Seynab.

Similarly Commissioner Seynab said she expects the same gesture from other organizations to cover the remaining families and any other entity that has the means to do so.

Additionally, some of the people who received the food package displayed their gratitude to the Bondeere Administration and UAE Red Crescent organization for their excellent humanitarian assistance rendered to them.

This food aid for breaking the fast is taking place for the 20th day in the month of Ramadan according to the officials of the UAE Red Crescent organization aimed at the most needy and IDPS in Mogadishu.
