UPDATED: 12 still missing as death toll rises to 89

The number of people who died in the Ex-Control bombing now stands at 89 following the revelation by the government that five more bodies were found as 12 people are still unaccounted for.

The  Emergency Response Coordination Committee said Monday morning 12 people who had been missing have now been found with another 12 is yet to be located.

Of the 12 found, 5  were dead, six in good health and one injured.

The official number of the dead now stands at 89 . A woman who was flown to Turkey succumbed to her injuries. The number of those injured as of Sunday stood at 149 but unconfirmed reports indicate the number may have gone up.

The bomb which intelligence sources said could be more than 1000kilograms trapped dozens of people in traffic and nearby areas while others succumbed to thick smoke and fire which engulfed the whole area.

The Turkish government airlifted 16 victims of the attack for treatment and also transported home two of its nationals who perished in the attack.
