Somali PM holds talks with International community in Mogadishu

The Prime Minster Mr. Hassan Ali Kheyre met on Sunday with the Foreign Ambassadors in Somalia precisely to relate to them on the current situation of Somalia.

Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheyre on Sunday held talks with the Foreign Ambassadors on on the current situation of Somalia.

Premier Kheire gave full details on the progress his government has so far taken since its formation in terms of the emergency drought response, security, economy, fighting corruption and lastly on the general activities so far achieved.

He said the Federal government started a system of accountability in all sides and requested from the International Community to come up with the same from their side so as to give confidence and assurance to the Somali citizens.

Ultimately, the Prime Minister informed the International Community that the nascent Federal Government has come up with new system on accountability thus requesting from them to do similarly and their support to be mainly in line with the need of his government and to implement developmental programs in the country like building of roads, bridges in order to get job creation activities for the Somali youth.

On their side, the officials from the International Community expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Somali Prime Minister for convening this crucial meeting and sharing with them clear and outstanding information on Somalia. The unanimously admitted Somalia has achieved extensive progress with tangible results and they are ready on their part to support the Federal Government.

Special Envoy of the General Secretary of the United States, Ambassadors of the European Union, UAE, Turkey, Sweden and China have attended the meeting.

Representatives from America and United Kingdom took part through Internet cyber screen.
