SNA rescues 9 children forcibly recruited By Al-Shabaab

Somali National Army has rescued nine children and two drivers forcibly recruited By Al-Shabab for eight months training in an area of ​​Doodali in the Bay region, the children are forcibly taken from their families, often kidnapped in rural areas of Bakool region.

The arrested children were detained at Hudur district police station, where further questions are being asked by the security forces. These children were retained while travelling between Abal and Labatan-Jirow area in Bay regions.

Hassan Salad Ibrahim is 12 years old; eight months ago when al-Shabaab drove from Dudumale area about 30km east of Hudur in the Bakool region noted that they had forcibly recruited by Al-Shabaab militiamen from where they lived.

“the children were forcibly recruited and used for the massacre of the Somali people and their own families, but Somali national Armey has been successfully captured the recruited children, “Hudur District Commissioner for Security Ibrahim Isaak Ibrahim said.
