A Former Delegate Killed in Mogadishu

A man believed to be among the former delegates who elected parliamentarians in Jowhar town has been killed this morning in Mogadishu

The deceased Ahmed Mohamed Adan aged seventy years was killed in the market locally known as ‘Beerta” where he used to run currency exchange business.

Speaking to media, the deputy security affairs for Waberi district Abdiwahab Mohamed Mohamud said the attackers quickly left the scene of the crime and are still carrying operation.

“Men armed with pistols killed Ahmed Mohamed. He was money exchange trader. He was among the delegates elected parliamentarians in Hirshabelle State. He was old and aged 70 years. We are informed that the murder was executed by very young boys who escaped after” said deputy security affairs Abdiwahab.

However, several traditional elders have been killed in the area that was among the delegates elected MPs in Hirshabelle State.

So far the security operation conducted by Waberi District officers did not yielded the desired result.
