A mother and her daughter were killed in Galkacyo last night

Unknown gunmen killed a mother and her daughter at Garsoor district in Galkacyo last night, as they were sitting outside of their house.

According to witnesses told Goobjoog News, the unknown gunmen opened fire to the the mother and her daughter and then they fled from the scene.

It is not yet known why the mother and her daughter were killed who was named as Safia and Nadiifo.

The Puntland government forces have been conducting operations in Garsoor district of the region since last night.

The security situation in Galkacyo has improved since last month, with the town’s joint police forces operating in Puntland and Galmudug.
