A Rebel Group Has Taken Over The Control of Dhusa-Mareeb Town,Says Erfo

erfoA Somali delegation that was in Jigjiga, the capital administrative Somali regional state of Ethiopia over the past few days has today returned to the country.

Galgaduud governor, Hussein Ali Wehliye aliases Erfo, who has been away when Somali moderate Islamist group, Ahlu-Sunna Waljama’a seized the provincial headquarter of Galgaduud, has commented on seizure as he called what he termed “A rebel group”

Erfo said that it that it is not Alhu-Sunna Waljama’a which took over the control of Dhusa-mareb town as he refers the group which lodged Somali National Army from the town to as a rebel group which wants to create insecurity in the region.

“A rebel group has taken over the control of Dhusa-mareeb town, Ahlu-Sunna waljama’a does not invade peaceful place, we are planning to recapture the town soon” he said.

He added “ Dhusa-mareb is scheduled to be the capital administrative of the upcoming Somali Central state which its formation conference is going on Adado town, it is unfortunate to attack a town which has rising from the ground” he said.

This comes a day after Somalia’s Minister of Interior and Federalism, Abdurahman Mohamed Hussein has urged moderate Islamist group Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a leaders to withdraw its militias from strategic town of Dhusamareb.

It was 7th this when the fighters from armed group Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamah has taken over Dhusamareb town from government forces that were controlling the town for the past months.

The fighters moved in to the city without furious resistance from the Somali National Army soldiers who later vacated their bases there.
