Afgoye Intelligence Chief Dies of Bullet Injuries

NISAReports from Afgoye indicates that the National Intelligence Service head there has succumbed to gun wounds he incurred from armed militias who mounted illegal road block.

The deceased official Mr. Liban Abukar was riding on a convoy of security vehicles when he came under attack.

He was admitted to the hospital where he died later of the wounds.

The attack has also claimed the lives of some of his guards and some other are wounded.

Authorities are looking into the situation and have yet to issue statement about the incident.

It’s not clear who the militias were and their motive behind the shooting, but disgruntled government soldiers usually cross the line and mount check points along Mogadishu-Afgoye main road.
