Alhu Sunna faction in Galmudug has accused the Federal Government of hijacking the electoral process in Galmudug violating agreements earlier reached.
Galmudug chief minister Shakir Ali Hassan who is also the Alhu Sunna leader in Galmudug political process said the government has gone against the July 2019 agreement and ignored the need to find consensus on the electoral process.
He threatened to lead the formation of a separate administration should the Federal Government fail to honour agreements.
Shakir’s remarks come barely a week after outgoing state president Ahmed Haaf made similar accusations against the Federal Government.
Galmudug is expected to elect a new president next week.
