Airplane Crashes in Gedo Region

A cargo plane hired by WFP crashed while attempting to land in Garbaharey town in Gedo province.

The plane was in the process of landing when it development problems and fire broke out on one side of the plane. It fall on a house located near the airstrip but fortunately its inhabitants were away.

Eye witnesses informed Goobjoog News the Local Administration were successful in putting out the fire started in the plane though no official information released so far regarding this incident.

The plane was loaded with food aid meant to be distributed to the people affected by the famine.

On the 30^th of June of this year, a light jet has clash landed in Mogadishu airport carrying security officials.
