Al-Shabaab claims to have killed 15 Danab forces in Middle Shabelle

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BAL’AD: Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for a roadside bomb that targeted SNA’s elite forces Danab, near Bal’ad town, some 30km north of Mogadishu late Thursday night. 

Al-Shabaab has claimed that it has killed 15 soldiers and released videos and photos of the charred remains of a military vehicle which they claimed the troops were traveling in, although the claims are yet to be independently verified.

The attack on the US-trained forces took place concurrently with another attack launched by the group on Mogadishu Airport and its environs, a few hours to President Mohamud’s inauguration on Thursday.
