Al-Shabab attacks military base, four Die

Three Al-Shabab fighters and one SNA soldier died on Tuesday following a heavy gun battle outside Bullaburde town located in Hiraan region of central  Somalia, Official said

The armed confrontation broke out when heavily armed Al-Shabab fighters attacked on Monday night a military base.

Residents who spoke to Goobjoog news said that troops warded off the fighters and the attack inflicted heavy losses on both sides.

“We do not know the exact number of people in the attack but we heard three died in the attack” a local resident said.

Bulaburde district commissioner Abdiaziz Durow told the media that attempts by Al-Shabab fighters to areas but SNA word off the attack.

“There was heavy gun fire when Al-Shabab fighters attempted to recapture military base on the outskirt of of the town. Three Al-Shabab fighters and one soldier died during the fighting,” he said.
