Ali Gaab clinches HOP009 seat in Jowhar today

GOOBJOOG NEWS/JOWHAR: The HirShabelle Election Implementation Committee has today held the election of HOP009 seat in HirShabelle’s capital, Jowhar.

The seat fielded two candidates namely Abdisatar Abdisalan Hassan Barsane who previously occupied the seat and Ali Hassan Ibrahim (Ali Gaab).

Ali Hassan Ibrahim (Ali Gaab) emerged winner of HOP009 seat after he received 67 votes, trouncing the incumbent, Abdisatar Abdisalam Hassan Barsane who received 33 votes.

Three seats are yet to be elected in the HirShabelle Administration including the seat left vacant by the late Amina  Abdi, former Minister of Security Mohamed Abukar Islow Duale and current Minister of Security Abdullahi Mohamed Nur.
